BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPLICATION

The S. Delois Mayes Scholarship Foundation is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for the Board of Directors.  

What are the requirements for a board member?

Board members serve three-year terms and are responsible for overseeing the overall strategy, budget and development of strategic relationships to raise scholarship funds for high school students in Suffolk Public Schools.  In general, the board meets three times per year.

How are board positions selected?

Our Committee will convene to carefully review and score all applications. The committee will ultimately select nominees to fill available board seats that are best suited to bring additional talent, resources, and diversity to our growing organization, based on their qualifications.

Our Nominating Committee is comprised of current board members. New members will be notified upon selection.
