Glenn Williams is a distinguished leader and Past National President of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Clubs, an organization dedicated to preserving and honoring the legacy of the original Buffalo Soldiers. The Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry were among the first African American regiments in the United States Army, known for their professionalism, discipline, and courage during a period marked by widespread discrimination. Their service helped protect frontier communities, strengthen national security, and pave the way for future generations of African American service members.
The Association continues this legacy through nationwide efforts focused on education, community service, and civic responsibility. Chapters provide scholarships for students, support youth mentorship programs, participate in community outreach, and promote historical awareness through public education. Members also engage in volunteer service projects, partner with local organizations, and support veterans and families in need.
Under Williams’s leadership, the Association expanded its community impact, strengthened collaboration across chapters, and reinforced its commitment to unity, service, and the preservation of history. Guided by principles of faith, perseverance, and moral courage, values closely aligned with the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., he exemplifies servant leadership in both word and action. His work continues to inspire others, reminding us that true leadership is defined not by recognition, but by uplifting others and advancing the greater good.

The S. Delois Mayes Scholarship Foundation is presenting Community Leadership Awards to exceptional leaders in the community. The awards will be presented during our 12th Annual MLK, Jr. Day of Service Event.
